The authors’ task was to create a server-side application which could be used as a framework for developing information systems based on the explicit description of document collections. Here collection means a group of similar pages, which could be treated as separate objects of the same class differing in the represented data.

The developed system was to meet the following requirements. It must be able to read the description of collections and its parts distributed over Web; provide some tools for completing, filling with data and changing the structure of their RDF models; it must also support different ways of representing a collection item obtained which are understandable both to people and to other applications.

The point of departure of the system’s work should be a correct RDF document, serialized in one of the two existing specified XML-notations, but not a database or a module creating models or a mixture of RDF and programming code.

Taking into account the above said a library has been developed which is based on Java Servlet technology and some other freeware programs. This library could be used as a finished tool for the documents publication or as a base of an informational system with additional functionality.

The work of the suggested product is based on the pipe method of modifying the initial collection model up to obtaining the final document using the consequent work of transforming classes which are supplied with the system or developed by its users. This released library not only able to transform the description of a collection into a concrete page, but also provide the work of Web-application as a whole by offering a number of additional services.
