The Integrated Tsunami Information System (IT IS) for operational prognosis and study of tsunami waves has been developed in the Tsunami Laboratory of the ICMMG RAS. The system includes the comprehensive historical tsunami database, subsystem for calculation of the long-term tsunami risk and subsystem for quick calculation of tsunami travel time charts. Historical tsunami database covers the whole Pacific region (including all marginal seas) and contains observational data for more than 1450 tsunamigenic events occurred in the Pacific from 47B.C. to 2002. The database is provided with the specialized GIS-type graphic shell (mapping system) for easy data search, retrieval and display. The historical database and supporting graphic shell is adopted as a standardized software tool by the International coordination Group for the Tsunami Warning System in the Pacific (ICG/ITSU) of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and recommended for distribution among the members of the ICG/ITSU. The condensed version of the database (the catalog of tsunamigenic events with their basic source parameters and the catalog of the run-up heights) are available on the Web-site supported by the Tsunami Laboratory and located at the following URL: http://tsun.sscc.ru/htdbpac. The built-in analyzing software allows obtaining the estimates of tsunami-risk for any coastal area where historical observations of tsunami run-up are available. The subsystem for calculation of t tsunami travel time charts allows to obtain the list of tsunami travel times for preliminary selected coastal points.
