PROBLEMS OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS IN STUDENTS OF PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The problem of formation of interpersonal communications is professional important for future teachers education. It is due to the following reasons: 1) more than 80% of students in the pedagogical university are women, 2) the teachers in schools, are therefore, also mainly women and may transfer the incorrect models of their behavior on children, 3) about 60% of children are growing up in half-families with women type of relations. These reasons may affect the future relationships in families. Thus, to evaluate the communication problems in pedagogical students is important to correct their style of behavior and develop the productive model of interpersonal communications.

With this aim the questionnaire was prepared to determine the psychological problems in students of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University. It consisted of 17 questions, and the formal information, social-economic state, psycho-emotional problems and personal features were indicated. In total 74 students of different classes (62 women and 12 men) in the age of 17-22 years were analyzed.

The analysis of results showed the principal identity of problems in students of different classes. About 15-20% of students were grown up in half-families. 20% of respondents are civil married, the others are no married. Only 60% of students are satisfied by their family state, and about 60% wanted to change their family status. More than 50% of respondents indicated the tense of psycho-emotional state and different personal problems, such as aggression, anxiety, hot temper, touchiness, fear of lone, stress, jealousy, shyness, and stubbornness. They would like to have such personal features and skills as high adaptive abilities, stability in stress situations, the habits to solve conflicts, practice of effective communication, patience. At present the main students solve their personal problems with friends and relatives, but almost all of them wanted to develop their communication skills by individual training with psychologist.

These results indicated the necessity to organize the psychological correction trainings at the University.
