Behavioral Health

A battery of psychological tests has been used to study the psychic state and quality of life in 75 patients with mild and moderate arterial hypertensions (AH) with or without (controls) different psychic disorders, living in Russian North (Tyumen Reg. Noviy Urengoy), working in GAZPROM. Comparing to controls, the AH patients with different psychic disorders of neurotic register have their quality of life, general condition, activity and mood proved to be significantly worse. The authors conclude that psychological testing may be an important diagnostic tool in general hospital. It allows identifications of the borderline mental disorders features, the correction of which appears to be of great importance for basic disease coarse and its therapy.
